Our services

Temporary traffic signals

We use battery powered Pike Signals traffic lights to provide a high quality, clean traffic management service. No diesel generators upsetting the local community with noise and pollution.

With more than 70 sets of signals owned and maintained in house, we manage every aspect of your traffic management requirements, from council permissions to set up and clear down.

For projects lasting more than a few days, our operatives will visit your site every five days to change the batteries and service the set-up.

Road closures and diversions

Regardless of the scale of your project, you can draw on our years of expertise to get the level of support you need. We’ll visit your site and conduct a survey. We’ll review possible diversion routes and make a recommendation that caters for light vehicles and heavy goods vehicles. We will make up signs explaining where and when works are taking place, so local people are well aware.

Dot matrix signs

These variable messaging signs are invaluable in making sure motorists know what’s coming and how to avoid it. We can supply and programme dot matrix signs for up to the minute messaging on the roads.

Site maintenance

As the contractors carrying out the work, you are responsible for the safety and maintenance of the site. We want you to be able to carry on with the task in hand, so will agree a maintenance programme with you to include: changing the batteries every five days and carrying out cone, sign and traffic light lens cleaning. Not only does this maintenance improve visibility, and therefore safety, but it keeps your job looking professional.

Council liaison and application completion

We make it our business to stay up to date with the latest planning guidance and have combined experience of more than 50 years of working with councils to agree traffic management plans. We’ll be at your site survey, describing how we’ll maintain safety throughout your works.

We’ll make it clear how traffic management plans will keep workers and the public safe and we’ll design the plans and the explanations for your planning application.

We’ll also make sure the council knows we are responsible for clearing and collecting the traffic management materials in support of your Section 74 responsibilities. We’ll supply pictures of the site at the beginning and the end of the job to enable you to evidence that you have met your responsibilities.

Traffic Management CAD plans

To submit your planning application, you’ll need professional planning drawings of your proposed traffic management scheme. We can prepare and submit these as pdf files in the preferred style for your local authority. We design the drawings in house and draw on our wealth of experience to make sure they are clear and easy to understand.

Advance warning signs

We have an in house sign-making operation and can create, supply and install your signs ahead of your project start date. You’re required to have the signs out two weeks before works begin, but we believe a happy local community makes for a better job, so we’ll always do all we can to get the signs out with as much notice as possible.

Stop and go operations

For moving, one day operations, such as tree surgery or hedge trimming works, we can speak to the local authority on your behalf, draw up the traffic management plan, host the site visit and deliver your traffic management on the agreed date.

Man and van operations

When all the work happens in a single day, your site operatives might not have time to get used to local traffic conditions, so we take care of traffic safety. We’ll provide a traffic management operative on site to monitor and maintain traffic flows. We’ll provide a single price for all the work over the course of the day, including the vehicle, the operative and the equipment, so you don’t get any surprises.

Long duration hires

For longer term works, we offer discounts, including for our maintenance package.
